Policies and Procedures

All weekly classes have open enrollment and run the entire calendar year, unless otherwise noted on our Master Schedule. Class days and times are subject to change based on enrollment. Because we serve students whose schools observe various school vacation weeks, all weekly classes run throughout February, March, and April. Please refer to the Master Schedule Page on our website for any Holiday Closings.

Payment & Cancellation Policies for Weekly Classes and Private Lessons

Payment for all weekly classes is due by the first class meeting of each month. If payment is not received by the 10th of the month, a late fee will be added to the student bill. If a student misses a class for any reason, there is no reimbursement. ONLY the following rules apply for make-up classes:

  1. If a student misses a class, a make-up class is allowed at the recommendation of Pat or Melanie. Make-up classes can be used by anyone in the student’s household but need to be attended within one month of the missed class. Renaissance requires at least twenty-four hours notice before attending a make-up class so our staff can be given ample notice and plan accordingly.
  2. Private students must give twenty-four hours notice of their cancellation in order for a make-up to be scheduled.
  3. If Renaissance cancels a class, a make-up class will be scheduled. If you cannot make the rescheduled class, Pat or Melanie will recommend another weekly class for the student or someone in their household to attend as a make-up.
  4. Prorated classes are only available to any student who starts a class late in the month.

Payment Policy & Cancellation Policies for Workshops and Events

Payment for a workshop or event is due before the workshop or event begins.
Full refunds will be given when a student provides twenty-four hours notice. If twenty-four hours notice is not given, only 50% of the fee will be refunded. In the unlikely scenario that we need to reschedule a workshop or event, we will provide alternative dates for make-ups as soon as possible thereafter. If a workshop cannot be rescheduled, refunds will be given.

Payment Policy for Vacation Programs

Payment for a week of Vacation Programming is due the Friday prior to the week attending. If your child is attending more than one week, payments can be made weekly or in one large payment. Tuition is for a full week, prorating for a shorter week or shortened hours is not available. Early drop-off and late pick-up are available for an additional fee.

Any class can be paid for by check, money order, credit card, or cash.

Pick Up & Drop Off Policy

Please accompany your child in and out of Renaissance Arts Center when you drop off or pick up. Renaissance will not release any student without a parent or authorized adult.

Inclement Weather Policy

In most situations, Renaissance Arts Center will follow the recommendations of the local school districts. In the event of an all-day closure, Renaissance will likely be closed for evening classes as well. Anytime there is inclement weather, please refer to the notification prominently featured on the homepage of our website. We will provide up-to-date information on weather-related closings and delays there in addition to our Facebook Page. You will be notified shortly about make-up class options.
